Papua Hope Language Institute's program combines English mastery and Spiritual formation, taught by an international team of professional instructors.

The Three Major Themes Within Our Curriculum

PHLI's academic programs ultimately point toward service — throughout each program, students are reminded of the importance of servant leadership, which is the core theme of PHLI's mission.

  • Cohorts of students progress through a pathway program to obtain English language mastery in preparation for study at our university partners.

  • More important than language proficiency, PHLI graduates gain spiritual maturity, providing a critical framework for navigating the new challenges they will face abroad and when they return home.

  • Papuan culture is rich. PHLI exposes students to a wide variety of important topics from art and history, to current issues in health care and infrastructure, preparing our students to become servant leaders.

PHLI does not just focus on language achievement but on making servant leaders to succeed in US schools and in their future careers in Papua.

We believe future leaders are made through an intentional process.

THIS IS OUR PROCESS.
